The next steps for this investigational lung cancer treatment | ASCO 2026
Ferdinandos Skoulidis, M.D., Ph.D., explains what’s next for this treatment for patients with previously untreated advanced or metastatic KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer.
The results from Krascendo 170 support further development of divarasib plus pembrolizumab as a chemotherapy-free first-line option for patients with previously untreated advanced or metastatic KRAS G12C–mutated non–small cell lung cancer.
In this clip, lead author Ferdinandos Skoulidis, M.D., Ph.D., shares this combination is now being tested in the randomized, registration-enabling phase 3 Krascendo 2 trial, where divarasib plus pembrolizumab is being compared head-to-head with the current standard of care, which is carboplatin plus pemetrexed plus pembrolizumab.
Skoulidis, who is from the Department of Thoracic-Head & Neck Med Oncology, Division of Cancer Medicine, UT MD Anderson, presented the findings today at the 2026 annual meeting of the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
