Studies of tafasitamab and epcoritamab

In the relapse or refractory setting, there is growing interest in adding immune-based therapies such as tafasitamab and epcoritamab to the established combination of rituximab plus lenalidomide, says Poh. Phase 3 trials have shown that the addition of tafasitamab (the inMIND trial) and epcoritamab (the EPCORE FL1 trial) increase progression-free survival, she notes. Results from these studies have shown that these therapies perform pretty well in these high-risk patients. The broader lesson, she said, is a move toward increasingly personalized, chemotherapy-free treatment strategies with the challenge of identifying which patients truly need the additional intensity of treatment and which would do just as well with a simpler, less intensive approach.
