In a discussion with Managed Healthcare Executive, Robert Sidbury, M.D., M.P.H, FAAD, professor of pediatrics at the Seattle Children's Hospital talks about what it takes to run a dermatology practice and how to implement value-based care initiatives.

He spoke today at 9 am PST at the 2024 American Academy of Dermatology meeting and said that one of the main controversies in treating atopic dermatitis is the box warning attached to topical calcineurin inhibitors.

"This has been around now 20 plus years and repeatedly studies have shown that the box warning prohibiting our use in children younger than is a safeguard, it keeps it out of the hands of patients who need it."
