This week, we asked our readers if they think health insurance should cover GLP-1s for weight loss.
The results are in, and a majority (63%) think health insurance should cover GLP-1s for weight loss.
Specifically, 36% of readers agreed that Medicare should offer coverage because doing so would encourage coverage by private insurers. In addition, just over a quarter of readers (27%) believe in coverage because so many people have obesity, and obesity is a major risk factor for many chronic healthcare conditions.
