Bryant Hoyal of Relatient Shares Better Scheduling Practices to Improve Staff Burnout, Workflow

Bryant Hoyal, VP of Client Services, Strategic Accounts at Relatient explains to Managed Healthcare Executive how providers can address burnout through clinic scheduling.

Below is a brief excerpt of the conversation with Hoyal, which has been edited for length and clarity.

Bryant Hoyal, VP of Client Services and Strategic Accounts at Relatient, encouraged that one way start alleviating staff burnout is to figure out what organizations can automate — those complicated and tedious processes that you can take off your staffs hands.

A place to start is through clinic scheduling.

"I really believe in this scheduling as an opportunity that's right for automation," Hoyal said. "If you think about it, you have a series of tedious, complicated process, you have a million details, you have providers that all want it their own way. So it's full of exceptions and one-offs and it's something that's ongoing all day long in your practices."

She added scheduling an environment that is more efficient and more effective really allows everyone to work at the top of license in a practice because they're focused on the patients in front of them.
