StarkRx has launched as a modular, cost-plus pharmacy benefit management company for self-funded employers using Judi Health’s PBM, Judi Rx, to administer claims.

Judi Health and the group purchasing organization Employers Health have teamed up to launch StarkRx, a modular, cost-plus pharmacy benefit solution. Judi Health’s PBM, Judi Rx, will provide the infrastructure for the new PBM.

The new PBM will offer pass-through and acquisition cost-based pharmacy reimbursement, independent prior authorization, formularies that prefer generics and biosimilars with the lowest net cost and integration with direct-to-consumer platforms such as Amazon. The pharmacy benefit will be administered through Judi Health's PBM Judi Rx.

“What makes this model unique is that we can deliver a comprehensive PBM solution end-to-end, while also enabling Employers Health to selectively incorporate best-in-class partners where they believe it creates additional value for their group purchasing members,” Kristin Begley, Pharm.D., chief commercial officer of Judi Health, told Managed Healthcare Executive. “The result is greater transparency, more choice, and a pharmacy benefit that can evolve with employer needs without sacrificing accountability, member experience, or operational excellence.”

Officials from Employers Health said that StarkRx is designed from the cumulative experiences of plan sponsors working together to purchase pharmacy benefits for more than three decades. “Plan sponsors need the patient experience to be easy and for patients to have access to exceptional tools and service,” a spokesperson from Employers Health told Managed Healthcare Executive. “Plan sponsors need affordability and predictability, both for the plan and its participants, without the games of the traditional underwriting model. Through StarkRx, we’ve curated relationships that can deliver on these needs, anchored by the Judi Health platform.”

Sponsors will be able to gain access to Employers Health’s account management, data analytics experts, managed care pharmacists and a team of attorneys focused on the complexities of pharmacy benefit management. The company also has a relationship with Quantum Health to provide employees with healthcare navigation. Judi Health, the spokesperson said, has the technology and the customer care model to enable this type of innovation without losing the patient along the way.

Judi Health has been evolving over the last few months. In July 2026, Judi Health rebranded and launched new services. As part of this rebrand, Capital Rx is now known as Judi Rx. Capital Rx was founded in 2017 as a transparent, pass-through pharmacy benefit manager.

The capabilities of the company's technology platform, Judi, have grown to include medical, dental and vision benefits. As a result, the company has launched Judi Care, which is a third-party administrator (TPA) for the medical, dental, and vision claims. Judi unifies claims adjudication, prior authorization, patient communications and other functions on one platform. When it launched in 2021, Judi was a technology for pharmacy plan management and adjudication. (Judi is a play on the word adjudication.)

Additionally, Judi Health has expanded its clinical partner ecosystem. The company recently announced new partnerships with Color Health, a virtual cancer clinic; WellTheory, a solution dedicated to autoimmune and inflammatory conditions; and Cylinder, a gastrointestinal care program recently acquired by Hinge Health. Other Judi Health solutions include Sword Health’s AI-powered musculoskeletal care and Progyny’s personalized fertility and family-building, maternity, and menopause/midlife solutions.
