RECENT DATA supports the success of Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) under Part D.
According to the data, Medicare Advantage (MA) plans did not have anywhere near the same performance in growth-only 4%-compared with PDPs. "Of course, membership in MA plans had been declining before the new Part D benefit went into place, so the shift in trend [from negative growth to positive] is a significant sign," he says.
