A new report from technology consulting firm Accenture details how AI is becoming more human and surveyed healthcare industry professionals on its expansion.

Accenture’s 2024 Technology Vision Report shows that a human + AI approach is a critical step forward, with 96% of healthcare executives agreeing that, if used correctly, generative AI can help build more meaningful business relationships.

For example, the report says that since ChatGPT was released in Nov. 2022, the number of times AI was mentioned in earnings call transcripts has increased from just under 500 at the release to over 35,000 times in the third quarter of 2023.

Similarly, 93% agree that AI agents will begin to collaborate with each other to accomplish organized tasks, thus making operations run more smoothly.

“Innovations and advances are closing the gap between people and technology, making it possible for technology to understand and adapt to people on a whole new level – which will have massive implications for the way that healthcare is delivered,” Rich Birhanzel, Accenture’s global health leader said in a press release.
