40 inches in men

>35 inches in women

Elevated triglycerides and small LDL particles

≥150 mg/dL

Low HDL cholesterol

<40 mg/dL in men

<50 mg/dL in women

Raised blood pressure

≥ 135/85 mm HG

Fasting glucose

≥ 100 mg/dL

The CDC also includes proinflammatory state and prothrombotic state in its definition.
