Moorhead says the biggest achievement of DMAA has been the development of evidence-based, outcome guidelines used to evaluate DMAA members' programs financially and clinically. The third volume of guidelines, which will include a new emphasis on wellness and health promotion, is due out this September. "We know the impact of chronic disease, but we have not fully identified the value proposition for wellness and disease prevention," she says. "As employers recognize the importance of keeping their workforces healthy, wellness will grow in importance."
