CVS Caremark, Woonsocket, R.I., has released the Caremark.com iPhone application. Available at no cost, the application provides all iPhone users with access to the Drug Information Database and allows CVS Caremark plan members to login and manage their prescriptions online.
“It is important to note that iPhone users that are not CVS Caremark PBM members only have access to the Drug Information Database through the application,” says Tim Kurth, vice president, eBusiness at CVS Caremark. “The Drug Information Database gives consumers the opportunity to research particular prescription medications, get information about how to take them, learn about available generic drug alternatives, see an image of the drug, learn about side effects and precautions, and much more.
“By making this function available to consumers who may not be current CVS Caremark PBM members, we are reinforcing our position as a convenient resource for consumers for information about their pharmacy care.”
CVS Caremark PBM members log in to refill prescriptions, check order status, view their prescription history and request a new prescription.
