Christobel E. Selecky
President and CEO
LifeMasters Supported SelfCare
Irvine, Calif.

Selecky is a strong proponent of transparency in healthcare and as DMAA president, she championed the initiative to develop consensus-based standardized measurements for DM. She considers physician compensation reform, new models of patient engagement and continued work on enhancing the value proposition to be critical to the continued evolution of population health improvement. She also is committed to incorporating DM into care for the fee-for-service Medicare population–a goal she says is a "must"–and integrating DM with wellness and prevention.

Earning a B.S. degree in political science and philosophy from the University of Delaware, she went onto receive a master's degree in public communication from the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University.

She was also named a 2004 Managed Healthcare Executive Leader in Disease Management.
