The cheapest medication on the list is hydrochlorothiazide at $4.55.
The prescription cost-saving service GoodRx released today a list of 30 of the most common heart drugs that will be available to customers for under $30. The coupon codes will work at more than 70,000 pharmacies nationwide.
Cardiovascular disease currently affects almost half of Americans.
Some of the drugs available at the new rates are lisinopril, an ACE inhibitor, for $9.29; carvedilol, a beta blocker, for $10.68; and atorvastatin, a statin, for $10.10.
GoodRx has directly contributed to the prevention of at least 140,000 emergency room visits, according to their recent report, The GoodRx Effect.
“Improving access to affordable medications is the most important thing we can do to improve Americans’ heart health. The second most important is ensuring access to helpful, accurate information,” said Karla Robinson, MD, Medical Editor at GoodRx in a press release.
