Johnson said one way drug companies could build trust is including patients sooner so they're part of the process beyond clinical trials.
"Having that feedback early on is essential," Johnson said. "Having a patient as your spokesperson makes it relatable to other people who will be taking that drug. To build that trust, comfort, and have that relationship, having that patient face is exactly what we need."
